Accreditations

About Our Accreditations

World Anti-Doping Agency

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has accredited SMRTL to conduct testing for performance enhancing substances in athletes governed by its test protocols, primarily Olympic and International Federation competitors. Most professional leagues and many collegiate programs also use WADA-accredited laboratories due to their meeting more rigorous standards for detecting performance enhancing substances in athletes. WADA accreditation assures clients that:

  • Test results are routinely validated for accuracy through random and blind QC samples
  • Testing methods meet the highest and latest standards
  • New tests are applied as developed—CIR, EPO, hGH, blood passports
  • Periodic on-site audits verify compliance with standards
  • WADA Laboratory Directors meet annually to address performance
  • Research and development are routinely undertaken

ISO/IEC 17025

The American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) verifies that SMRTL meets the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements for its ISO 17025 standards. This accreditation assures our clients that our testing methods and processes are:

  • Fully documented
  • Scientifically validated
  • Publicly available for review
  • Updated periodically
